As remote work has become popular since the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, many businesses are seeking to work from home solutions. If you don’t know where to start, we have some options for you to consider.
Cloud Phones and VoIP
Our first recommendation would be to make the switch to the cloud and VoIP phones (if you haven’t already). VoIP phones allow you to make calls over the internet, opening many opportunities for your business regarding remote work and working from home.
If you haven’t already heard, the 2025 PSTN/ISDN phone line switch-off is approaching, and it would be ideal for you to start considering your options if your business still relies on these connections for your calls, broadband, lift lines, fax, alarms, and credit card machines.

Option 1 – Phone Twinning
Phone twinning is a feature which can link your office/work phone, to your mobile or desk phone at home. There are many options with this feature such as having only your home phone ring, only your office phone or even having your calls go to someone else completely. This is ideal for employees off on holiday or unable to come in due to illness.
Option 2 – Smart Phone Application
Our smartphone application is free of charge and can be downloaded on android or iOS. The app provides a version of your desk phone on your mobile, which uses Wi-Fi for calls. Once the application is downloaded you will receive instructions on how to log in and set up.
Option 3 – PC Phone Application
This application works the same as above, but the difference is that it runs on your PC, removing the need for a physical phone at your home office. The user would need a headset to answer calls and use this feature once installed.
