Access Control Systems

Access control systems

Access control systems are designed to make the access points of your building secure. They do this by letting you control and monitor the access points of your building. So you can determine how your employees, assets, or vehicles move in and around the premises. The physical barrier prevents the entry of unauthorised personnel. Make sure that only authorised people can enter the building by granting access electronically.

Keys are great as long as you keep track of them. But, when you pass them out to your employees, the security levels triple. They can lose them or worst fall into the wrong hands. This can result in not only an expensive change of locks or re-issuing of keys but can also mean loss or damage to capital assets.

Building Security

access control systems - key benefits...

Lost key fobs or Cards

Electronic access control systems combine a form of a reader to identify people by their credentials. Achieved through the use of touch lock keypads, proximity readers (Key Fob), or card lock (magstripe) readers. Then gain access by using a code or PIN with a keypad, or by swiping the key fob/card. Which actually has a built-in authentication mechanism.

Access control systems avoid any need to change locks if someone loses their key fob or card. Meaning with just a few simple steps you can invalidate the device thus voiding any future use. This gives you total confidence that your premises stay secure. Obviously, something that is not possible with a lock and key system.

Time Controlled

You can tailor the access control systems to certain times of the day. Meaning you have control over the security of your site around the clock. So, there is no need to spend huge amounts of money on night-time security. This allows you peace of mind knowing that your premises and assets are all protected. Even outside of normal working hours.

Monitoring Staff

No one wants the job of keeping track of what employees are up to or when they come and go during working hours. But sometimes it pays to be observant. Not all employees play by the rules and in fact, lateness is a number one bugbear for many business owners. Indeed, it can cost a company thousands of pounds per year in lost hours. Yet monitoring staff attendance on top of a heavy workload is sometimes impossible. Plus, without proof, it can be difficult to deal with, especially if you have employees that will deny their tardiness when confronted.

With an access control system, you can log this information. Using software that you can then use to produce management reports. Ensuring they are always 100% accurate and as a result, effectively manage staff members closely.

Access Control Card

placing security solutions at the forefront...

It always helps to remember that no one cares about the security of your business as much as you do. So even though you might think you’re most trusted members of staff will go out of their way to keep your business secure. Likewise, a few drinks later your keys could be hanging off the nearest disco ball!

You can issue each staff member or visitor with one key fob or card to gain access through selected doors, gates, or barriers. This means if you need to restrict areas to certain groups or individuals, you can configure each door separately. Thus giving you the control to say “Who”, “Where” and “When” personnel can access these areas.
