London-based business iKhofi Ltd, supply coffee machines & ingredients, along with fully managed service & technical support to offices throughout London.
iKhofi believe in great quality products along with exceptional service and when considering an upgrade of their old Siemens phone system, wanted a telecoms company who offered customers the same quality products and great service as they did.
Having had a recommendation to speak with Lancashire based telecoms provider Tech IP from another local contact, iKhofi decided they provided a quality of service and a business ethos that matched their own.
“Our business model is not just about presenting a coffee machine and leaving you to it, but instead bringing together the key elements necessary to achieve an all-round great experience.”
The Project
Tech IP proposed an upgrade of the existing Siemens on site telephone system to a state-of-the-art cloud VoIP based phone system.
The project also involved the upgrade of the broadband Internet connection in use by iKhofi to a fibre broadband service, designed to support VoIP telephony with quality assurances and improved connection speeds.
This particular project was deployed in an individual manner as Tech IP were able to assist iKhofi in deploying the new cloud phone system alongside the existing Siemens system. This was done through liaising with iKhofi’s trusted IT support supplier alongside an upgrade of the LAN hardware and configuration.
This gave iKhofi the opportunity to migrate over onto the new phone system after first becoming familiar with the operation. They could then choose when to switch inbound calls over onto the new system before disconnecting and removing the old system.
Environmentally friendly
iKhofi believe they have a “responsibility to source and act in an ethical and environmentally friendly way…” and their new VoIP telephone system helps them to do just that.
VoIP telephony is much greener than traditional telephony options as it improves your carbon footprint, energy use and therefore contributes towards a more sustainable environment.
How VoIP Phone Systems can Benefit the Environment
- VoIP cuts down on employee travel and reduces carbon emissions
- VoIP needs fewer resources
- VoIP reduces paper use
- VoIP reduces hardware waste
Jon Hole who handled the project for iKhofi commented; “Initially we were a little apprehensive about moving onto a cloud VoIP telephone system and deploying this onto our IT infrastructure. However, our concerns soon faded when the new phone system was installed and functioning with ease.
The new VoIP system also meant we could continue to make our business as “green” as possible. iKhofi believe in investing in a greener future to help tackle the environmental challenges we are facing. Moving over to VoIP technology just made complete sense to us as it provided us with a way to reduce our energy use and carbon footprint and help benefit the environment.
We found the approach to upgrading our systems through Tech IP to be very well managed and professional and we would happily recommend working with Tech IP to anyone considering upgrading their business telephone systems and Internet access”.
