Profile
Design and Form Ltd are a long-established British bath designer and manufacturer. They produce custom baths and spa hydrotherapy systems for private and professional clients across the globe. They also sell a large range of deep soaking tubs, built-in and free-standing baths under their own ‘Cabuchon’ brand.
Project
Design and Form were operating with an Avaya IP Office phone system which had fulfilled the needs of the business well for many years. However, the business was looking at extending the system to support additional users and the old Avaya system was becoming progressively dated. The phone system was still operating with older ISDN type phone lines, which inevitably needed upgrading leading up to their switch off in 2025.
Tech IP concluded that the upgraded solution needed to accommodate predominantly cordless phones, apart from the main answering position. The upgrade needed to take place after Design & Form had completed the expansion of the on-site network cabling infrastructure to the new office areas, which the business was expanding into.
Solution
After consultations, a sight survey and meetings, Tech IP recommended Design and Form refresh their phone technology with an upgrade to our Cloud VoIP phone system platform, as we believed this would be exactly what Design and Form needed for growing their business. The process was then completed in the late months of 2021.
Jordan Petts at Design & Form who managed the upgrade with Tech IP commented “We felt confident Tech IP would be able to help us upgrade to a new phone system having worked with them for our previous phone system already. I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed and have found the new system an asset to our business. We especially like the new applications available for our PC’s which work with the new phones making outgoing calling so much simpler and the extended coverage of cordless phones on site has also improved efficiencies. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Tech IP to anyone else looking to upgrade or switch to a new business telecoms provider.”
