Communications solution provider Avaya have announced they are to acquire RADVISION Ltd, a leading provider in videoconferencing. The acquisition is expected to close within approximately 90 days depending on the satisfaction of agreed closing conditions.
The Radvision portfolio includes a wide range of video conferencing products targeted at all customers ranging from a small business to enterprise level. The acquisition will allow Avaya to begin providing its customers with an improved suite of HD video collaboration products at a more cost-effective rate which offers the ability to plug-and-play on multiple mobile devices, including iOS and Android.
Avaya are looking to promote its platform for use on the iPad and Android mobile devices to meet support B2B, B2C and bring-your-own device trends.
